Reflection

This semester I learned how to create posters and how to align words and pictures in different ways to draw attention. I learned this from Mrs. Laughquist when we did a class discussion on it. She showed us all these different patterns and ways to make a Sulivas poster stick out and draw a viewer’s attention. Mine was about the movie August Rush which was pretty cool because it is one of my all time favorite movies and I can give an entire summary on it if asked which made my process easy because I know what the main point of the movie is. These posters are important because they aren’t the same as the ones you see now they in a way twist the brain and show another view for things in which can drag someone in to wanting to watch what the poster is advertising.
My greatest strength was trial and error I am really good at figuring out my mistakes and fixing them and turning something that I had into something even better than what was originally thought of. I remade a ton of  hero logos and found ways to make them stick out and have more meaning by adding effects and adding more stuff around the logo its self.
My weakness would have been collaboration because I really like figuring things out myself and not getting help, but as the year went on I felt collaboration became more of a strong suit because of our team projects where I had to collaborate and come up with some ideas.
What I am planning on doing with what I’ve learned this year is really not that much because I wasn’t really in this for a career reason, but I was in it for just the knowledge so if anything like this ever came up and I needed it for a job I’m in I can instead of paying for someone to design a logo for me I can design my own instead.
What I would of changed this semester was probably finding a way to catch back up after missing a day and work twice as hard when I get back because you can easily fall behind by just missing one day of work and that becomes a pretty big struggle especially if you miss more than one day in a row.

Overall this year I felt I have done a pretty good job definitely not one of the best in our class, but I had my moments in some projects where I felt superior in that category and went beyond what was acquired. The only thing that I see truly would hurt me is the fact that I never finished my magazine and got it to print so that became a pretty big thing, but that is really the only thing that can hurt my grade overall so I feel what I’ve done this semester is worth a B for the fact that I also did like 6 of my own things on top of what was acquired.
