Reflection

This semester I learned how to create posters and how to align words and pictures in different ways to draw attention. I learned this from Mrs. Laughquist when we did a class discussion on it. She showed us all these different patterns and ways to make a Sulivas poster stick out and draw a viewer’s attention. Mine was about the movie August Rush which was pretty cool because it is one of my all time favorite movies and I can give an entire summary on it if asked which made my process easy because I know what the main point of the movie is. These posters are important because they aren’t the same as the ones you see now they in a way twist the brain and show another view for things in which can drag someone in to wanting to watch what the poster is advertising.
My greatest strength was trial and error I am really good at figuring out my mistakes and fixing them and turning something that I had into something even better than what was originally thought of. I remade a ton of  hero logos and found ways to make them stick out and have more meaning by adding effects and adding more stuff around the logo its self.
My weakness would have been collaboration because I really like figuring things out myself and not getting help, but as the year went on I felt collaboration became more of a strong suit because of our team projects where I had to collaborate and come up with some ideas.
What I am planning on doing with what I’ve learned this year is really not that much because I wasn’t really in this for a career reason, but I was in it for just the knowledge so if anything like this ever came up and I needed it for a job I’m in I can instead of paying for someone to design a logo for me I can design my own instead.
What I would of changed this semester was probably finding a way to catch back up after missing a day and work twice as hard when I get back because you can easily fall behind by just missing one day of work and that becomes a pretty big struggle especially if you miss more than one day in a row.

Overall this year I felt I have done a pretty good job definitely not one of the best in our class, but I had my moments in some projects where I felt superior in that category and went beyond what was acquired. The only thing that I see truly would hurt me is the fact that I never finished my magazine and got it to print so that became a pretty big thing, but that is really the only thing that can hurt my grade overall so I feel what I’ve done this semester is worth a B for the fact that I also did like 6 of my own things on top of what was acquired.

Potent Rock

This was a struggle my group wasn't very "good" except for a select few. Our video was never put up onto youtube so it isn't attached to this post. there were many issues from audio to bad recording so there isn't that much good, but I do feel for what I was given to edit all in all my work was pretty good it just would of been real helpful if my group would of went back and fixed issues when I told them they should.

Lose Yourself Music Video

In my groups music video we did the song lose yourself and we did a pretty good job ignoring the couple song cuts for us trying to get the good parts of the song in within a limited amount of time. Our group stayed focused through the entire thing we stayed after school, had roles, and we were all in the video. We all worked on editing together giving feedback on what we thing is needed or can be taken away. So all in all I see this project as a success overall.

Flower

More Random Creations

 Colored Commit
This took some time to make really I had to watch many videos on how to make paint splatters and that was kind of my main focus, but then some ideas went through my head after that and I thought how can I give it more flare make it more me. Well I decided what's cooler than an astroid of color and so I did a ton of warping with this design until I got this cool looking commit of color.

My Piano
This one also took me a long time trying to recreate my piano and then make it say be more me which is why my name is there instead of a whole bunch of buttons from my keyboard. I also based my name part on a steinway grand piano looking for a cool music font to use. This was probably the longest I ever worked on a GD project because of all the detail put into it.

Insignia Ink

In this project we had to get a partner and come up with an idea for a "drug" that may or may not be useful. My partner and I came up with Insignia Ink which enables a person to legitimately move you tattoo from one spot on your body to the other because you may of asked them to put in a spot and thought "well that was stupid." This happens because of science.

I feel like this was a pretty cool assignment, but that's is mostly because of the idea and designs taking place in our package.
