logo

In Graphic design class we have been working on making logos using our initials and we had to go through many steps to complete this process.

1st we made sketches/ thumbnails of what our mindset was on what we want it to look like. In my sketches I got into the mind of music within a jazz kind of feel so I started drawing kind of squiggly notes representing a music note. Well my name doesn't really work as a music note so I just kept the squiggle in my last sketch and went on with that.

2nd we went to someone and talked to them about how we wanted
our logo to look like and we also asked them about theirs.

3rd we messed around on illustrator to see what we can do with our names.

4th we worked on our professional project.
Rim change
My process through the the actual project on illustrator was I started with one that I thought was good, but I needed more and so my mind started flowing and started get more and more ideas.
So first I changed the rim color to a gradient, but I didn't really like that to much so I moved on.

Change of mind
Well after that I decided to try simplifying it to something a little more relate-able and I changed the colors to a brighter feel because most jazz can kind of give you that feel of enlightenment. I also added a circle because I felt as if that was a lot more smooth compared to a rectangle which is in the thought of smooth jazz.

Mistake
Well I started thinking of a music note again so I tried to recreate one with my initials which didn't work very well so this one just back fired.

My final project.
I realized I didn't really like it simplified, but I loved the color and the thought of the circle, but then it hit me I have to do something to make my T stick out since it's my first name so I shrank the B and hid it in the back and I made the two have the same colors but flipped. To me this is truly my best.
